Transparent Becoming

It was never about the plan.

There were seasons I mistook having a plan for being in relationship. I thought if I could map it all, the garden, the project, the story, then I’d have a bountiful harvest.
But nature operates on signals.

A sprout doesn’t ask permission. The mycelium doesn’t request consensus. A single bee shifts the entire hive by dancing. There is no roadmap. There is no ‘right way’ or ‘final solution’. There is no solution.

It took me years to unlearn the cultural idea that vision must be linear to be real.
That it must be validated before it is lived. To oneself first, then outwardly by reflection and resonance.
In the field, the signal always precedes strategy.

So now, I let the signal lead. I notice the heat in my chest, the tingle in my fingertips, the way a sentence hums in my ear. I watch what catches root in conversation. I notice what I resist, and I ask myself why...and wait for the answer before proceeding.

Signal shows up in the soil, too. The color of a leaf. The shape of the fungus. The way the compost shifts its temperature and scent with the morning sun.
Strategy is useful. But signal is alive.

The Natural Being Framework began as such a pulse, a frequency I kept hearing across everything I did, from permaculture to alchemy, to natural farming, to hands in the soil and in the inoculants I was building, rich and diverse. A kind of relational resonance that kept my attention centered on what was calling, what was signaling. Here. Now. In the places I was and am. A coherence.

So I listened and got better at it.
SignalCraft was born from that listening. From learning to map what was already communicating, instead of projecting what should be.

It’s not always easy. Listening like this means slowing down. It means becoming interruptible. It means being wrong, again and again, and still choosing to follow.
But this is how living systems work.

In ecosystems, signal cascades. In healing, the signal guides. In stories, signal shimmers, illuminates, delights.

And so this is a reminder, for you and for me:
Before you plan, pause.
Before you reach for the blueprint or craft a solution, feel for the pulse, listen for the silent whisper beneath the louder, more emphatic ‘answer’.

Before you try to name it, let it name you.
Signal before strategy. Always.
